January 20th – Sarah Kendall – “Loving Determination.”

Sarah was a Registered Massage Therapist and a business woman in her 50’s when she had a life-threatening cerebral hemorrhage.  She was in a coma for three weeks, the family was brought in the morning she was going to die to say good-bye, there was a sudden change in the treatment, and,  she spent 7 long months in hospital. This homily is about the ways in which she dealt with the pain of ‘inhabiting this unfamiliar body’ and the much richer joys which happened along side, as well as the joys and sorrows which came along with tragedies of her younger life.
