Our Congregation
Our CUUC Congregation
Services are held Sundays at 10 a.m. at
The James Bay New Horizons Centre,
234 Menzies Street
Victoria, BC

We are a small, liberal gathering of people from many backgrounds who meet weekly on Sunday mornings to enrich our personal and spiritual journey with shared values of respect for humanity and the planet. These values are summarized in a set of seven principles.

As well as the opportunity to get away from the everyday and address larger issues in a tolerant and stimulating space, there is the joy of meeting and being part of a gathering of wise, experienced, varied, tolerant, kind and committed people.

Welcome

All are welcome. The Unitarian and Universalist traditions for centuries have been ones of inclusiveness. We welcome people of any age, faith, sexual orientation, or race.

Sunday services

Our Sunday services are held at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday, in the James Bay New Horizons Centre, 234 Menzies Street, Victoria, B.C. A children's program is available during the service. Refreshments follow at 11:00 a.m. For schedule of services see Services

Membership in the Capital Unitarian Universalist Congregation

The benefits of becoming a member of Capital include being able to vote at meetings and elections. Members receive copies of our CUUC newsletter as well as the CUC newsletter. People generally attend Capital for as long as they like and when they feel at home there and willing to commit themselves at a more significant level, they might become a member. Membership entails making a financial commitment to the congregation, as one is able.

Every few months there is a recognition service for new members and new member workshops are offered.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please call June Waters at 250-418-8898.
