CUC Board Highlights

News via Christine Johnston
Since a 75% people turnout disapproved of lifting the moratorium on local gas and oil exploration off BC the Premier of BC has backed off from a claim that offshore oil would be up and running for the 2010 Olympics.

However, both he and the Minister of Mines and Energy are now touting Seismic Testing. Is the camel putting his nose in the tent?

Message from Mary

This month the message is about a first draft of a new CUC Statement for finalization this May, Hamilton, ACM

See item 2 in the silver folder for how things are starting out. Try http://cuc.ca/statement/ for continuing coverage and a workshop outline is being sent to our congregation for our feedback.

Without Feedback

As your editor of Capital Letter that doesn’t receive much feedback I will most assuredly, if slowly, get to produce a non relevant Capital Letter.

My thanks to you who have said I’m doing a good job, but I need you, and any others, to be
specific.

Tell what really pleased you, what you would like added or accentuated, or what you would like less of.

Help me to be good , better , best.

From another B.C. Congregation

A verse from a poem written by Phil Ochs
Entitled: When I'm Gone.

And I won't breathe the bracing
Air when I'm gone
And I can't even worry 'bout my
Cares when I'm gone
Won't be asked to do my share
When I'm gone
So I guess I'll have to do it while
I'm here.

Invitation to the Experienced
Burn bright but don’t burn out.
You are invited to send to this editor ways that committees can be enjoyed. Go wild with your suggestions. They don’t have to be signed and they will be included in the next issue if not too too.
