June 24th – AGM and Potluck – (Anne’s Place)

All friends and members (and courageous newcomers!) are welcome to attend our Annual General Meeting with a potluck to follow. Anne Marshall is hosting at 343 Langs Rd. This is our last meeting until September (except for maybe a summer picnic or two!). Hope to see you there!

December 22nd – Solstice/Christmas Party! Thurs 6-8:30pm

On December 22nd we are celebrating the season – Unitarian style. This celebratory gathering will involve solstice readings and ceremony, as well as good old Christmas caroling, (soft!) apple cider, and goodies. Speaker: – Denise Johnson Clear channel Denise Johnson shared the wisdom she has learned from near death experience and conversations with spirit. We loved her honesty and humility as she recounted her experiences, followed by a fabulous and enlightening question and answer period. Facilitator – Barbara Slater Playful, joyful, wonderful singing! Lift your voice and nurture your spirit. This monthly service is facilitated by Barbara Slater and (very) family friendly. 23 October 2011 – The Healing Power of Music

Speaker – Christy Cook – Musician and composer Christy Cook shared her exploration of the miracle of music and its role in our mental, spiritual and physical health. Heartbreaking stories from her time playing the dulsimer at children’s hospitals, as well as an energizing musical exercise were two highlights of this service.
