March 12th, 2017: Service at First Unitarian Church of Victoria (Time Change Service at 11:30am)

This Sunday, March 12th we will not be having a service on Salt Spring Island.  This Sunday we head to the First Unitarian Church of Victoria for the service there.

The service is entitled: We Who Believe in Freedom Shall Not Rest

For over 100 years we have marked March 8th as International Women’s Day with marches and protests,  celebrations and laments. How shall we celebrate the extraordinary successes of the women’s movement and sit with the experience of those who, at times, felt excluded by it? How do we hold the deep needs in ourselves, so potent in our hearts, and still hear the voices that ask us to draw the circle wider still?

The service takes place at 11:30am at the First Unitarian Church of Victoria at 5575 West Saanich Road.  Their website is: http://victoriaunitarian.ca/.

We are hoping to have many people from our fellowship to attend this service. We are in the process of arranging carpooling.

If you have space in your car or need a ride, please email Katie at ssucoordinator@gmail.com.  I will begin to match people so that more of us can attend.  We will be taking the 9:50am ferry on Sunday morning.

We have a couple of people who are looking for rides to and from Victoria. Please contact Katie if you can help.
