November 3rd, 2013: Discovery Circle with Amanda Tarling

Following on from our First Principle the second states: “Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations”.  Let’s get to the bottom of what justice and equity really mean. Furthermore being a part of a religious community provides a platform and an opportunity for us to deepen compassion. Do we take this opportunity? How do we live this second principle every day? The second in an eight homily series looking at our Unitarian Principles and Sources and our own spiritual practice.  Each of these eight services will feature a spiritual practice that is reflective of our seven principles.

What do you live by: the golden rule, the truth, spiritual principles, inner wisdom, direction from the divine or something else entirely?  This year join Amanda to delve deeply into Principles to live by.  Eight monthly worship services (October to May) designed to challenge and inspire.  Services will include practical ideas to carry the ideas into your own spiritual practice.

Everyone is welcome to come to any or all of the Discovery Circles scheduled.

Discovery services are led by Amanda Tarling of the Capital UU Congregation in Victoria BC.
